The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries announced a new agreement with consulting firm APPI Energy on an ISRI member-only benefit to provide electricity and natural gas cost reduction and management services. Through APPI Energy’s program, ISRI members receive expert recommendations, cost reduction opportunities, and budget certainty through competitive procurement and fixed, all-inclusive energy contracts.
“Every day, APPI Energy reviews the wide range of energy supplier prices across the country, and utilizes that data to lower operating expenses for our clients,” said Walter Moore, President and CEO of APPI Energy. “Recommendations to ISRI members regarding when to buy energy, and which contract length is best, are based on extensive data analytics and over 23 years of transaction experience,” said Moore.
APPI Energy currently manages 10 billion kilowatt hours and 19.4 million dekatherms of natural gas. Nearly half of their clients (43%) operate in the manufacturing sector. APPI Energy’s unbiased, independent team of energy experts helps clients make smart business decisions about energy procurement, so they can focus on their business. Their energy consultants will:
- Save You Time - Analyze your energy usage and existing supplier contracts.
- Minimize Risk - Vet supplier contracts and monitor regulatory changes.
- Reduce Confusion - Obtain the best price and contract term and conditions.
- Transition Smoothly - Administer new supplier paperwork, manage transitions.
- Improve Sustainability - Provide holistic energy efficiency recommendations.
“Though our partnership with APPI Energy, we hope to provide our members with sustainable and effective measures for cost reduction,” said Robin Wiener, president of ISRI. “This is another valuable offering we are adding for ISRI members to save money in their business operations.”
